Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been brought to our attention in recent weeks that a few of the children who attend Cranford Park Academy have been spending time in some of the more communal areas on the St. Dunstan's estate, specifically the parks and open spaces within Woolacombe Way. Children have been coming into school bothered by incidents that are happening when they are out, usually after school, in the evenings and at weekends.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind all families that no children from CPA should be allowed to attend these areas alone and without supervision. Aside from the concerns regarding Covid-19 implications the risk posed to primary age children is growing in terms of children getting into both verbal and physical altercations.
We as a school have informed the local safer schools police officers of the situation but do feel that we as a community need to be vigilant and keep the children safe by not allowing opportunities for these types of incidents to happen.
