Dear Parents/Guardians,
This month CPA are participating in 'Walk to School Month.' Walking can have a positive effect on a child's emotional wellbeing as well as reducing the risk of serious illnesses later on in life. In school, they will be thinking about ways they can be 'Safe and be Seen' when walking to school.
The key message is to wear fluorescent or reflective clothing. Fluorescent means the material is so brightly coloured and clear that it can be seen in the daytime and at dusk. Fluorescent colours are vivid pinks, yellows, lime green and orange.
Reflective means that the material reflects light back therefore it can be seen. Reflective materials can help drivers to see your child three seconds sooner at night time- which could save their life.
To help raise awareness for this cause we wanted to participate by asking children to wear bright and colourful socks on Wednesday 21st October. There will be a prize for the most unique socks.
Thank you for your support,
The JRSOs - Rohan, Iqra, Navdeep, Yuvraj, Alissa and Amielia
