Hillingdon Young Carers

Hillingdon Young carers is a support network for children and young people aged 5 – 24 years, who provide regular and ongoing care to a family member who is physically or mentally ill, disabled or misuses substances.
Ongoing and long term caring responsibilities can have a huge impact on the lives of young people. Their physical health, emotional wellbeing, education and social opportunities can all be affected.
At Hillingdon Young Carers, they work to reduce the impact of the caring role and provide emotional support, social activities and information and advice.

Young Carers have always worked closely with schools, social services, youth centres and local organisations to identify young carers and raise awareness about their needs.   Cranford Park Academy has many children already who benefit greatly from the support of Young Carers.

If you feel that your child or someone you know could benefit from a referral to Young Carers, please speak to Lorna Mitchell, Ramya Logathas or Margaret O’Donovan, who can complete that process.
